I had pain for over a year after. It hurt to turn a page in a book. I started fasting and within a few months I never felt it again. Seems like a no brainer! My father is 65yrs old, has a bad back and eats morning to night. I tried to convince him but his wife is a nurse and says its dangerous. So frustrating. Aboriginals are still able to toddler squat well into their 80's (if they live that long). Modern society sits too much, walks to little, plays infrequently. We are weak, inflexible, and non-functional. This effects all joints and muscles from neck extensors to dorsiflexors. In summary, I agree with you, however feel the problem is bigger than footwear.RyanThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08344102720428357785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1747642004970988788.post-89532975279708790902011-05-05T16:06:27.762-07:002011-05-05T16:06:27.762-07:003 things....

However, you have to...Hi Joey all very interesting. However, you have to keep in mind a few things about meat - how it is produced and how it is processed. Meat and animal products are not in and of themselves negative things, it is the amount consumed and scale of production that is the primary problem. There is also the concern over bio-magnification which is a major issue in seafood but is also an issue in terrestrial food as well. Also the dietary quality of meat that is mass produced is lower in what we need from meat - omega oils etc. due to their profit driven diet.
It really not that easy to dismiss the value of a vegetarian diet - there are the internal benefits -eg. gastrointestinal health and exposure to high levels of pesticides and the external benefits eg. lower carbon emissions and destruction of natural landscapes.
Not to mention all the dietitians I know here at Acadia advocate for a low meat intake or no meat intake diet.

Its really not "good" research to discredit something based on "poor" research - find some good rigorous studies to base your information on - I am sure there are just as many studies out there that have been done badly that advocate for an animal product heavy diet. Keep in mind that there were and continue to be whole societies that were primarily vegetarian. Many much older than our own.

Thank you for bringing the subject to light and keep working on making people think about what they eat. Drop me a line if you want to talk about it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10819970766589684882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1747642004970988788.post-76965539167592658292010-05-30T19:49:48.502-07:002010-05-30T19:49:48.502-07:00Thank you Rhonda. If your comment doesn't get post...Hi Richard,

If your comment doesn't get posted right away, don't worry it's because all comments go to me to be moderated before getting published.

To do daily IF you would generally break your fast with lunch yes. This means that I do eat 2 slightly larger meals a day. You are free to snack in between if you get hungry. You are pretty much free to eat anytime during the eight hour "feeding window". I always have nuts on hand if I get hungry between lunch and supper.

If you are doing this to loose weight be careful not to go too far. Don't fast every day and eat a little bit less on your fasting days ie...slightly larger lunch and supper. You'll know it if you start to loose too much weight because your performance will start to drop. That should be taken as an immediate sign to eat more.

Good luck Richard and let me know how it is working for you and feel free to ask any questions you may haveAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14365327616707064397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1747642004970988788.post-90824461097020237722010-04-13T08:41:07.936-07:002010-04-13T08:41:07.936-07:00Joey!it's richard here...it's my first tim...Joey!it's richard here...it's my first time hearing about IF, very interesting. it's definitely different from what other people have been trying to convinced us taking several small meals through the day, very new concept to me anyway. i'd like to try it out as i found my weight control was a little difficult lately...So if i wanted to try the daily IF method, would i only eat lunch and supper a day? are there any other meals between those two? how big are those meals supposed to be? btw, thank you very much for sharing all the wonderful stuff here. Remember me at basic always running to the salad bar and filling up with salad and tuna? The best advice I can give is to do the best you can with what you're given. There have been times when I took what I could and then scraped off breading or some other coating to the best of my abilities.

Just do what you can and even if it's nor perfect, still put the effort in to do your best and you will still see definite improvements.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14365327616707064397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1747642004970988788.post-51599887168027146412010-03-08T12:17:04.526-08:002010-03-08T12:17:04.526-08:00Like Aaron said although loving your blog I'm ...Like Aaron said although loving your blog I'm starting to ponder what is better to eat.
